The Anambra State Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh has told the Punch Newspapers that the State already discovered Mmesoma’s claim to be false and had gone ahead to honour another candidate, Miss Nkechinyere Umeh, who scored 360.
“Congratulations to Nkechinyere Umeh. I hope Chief Innocent Chukwuma, Chairman of Innoson Vehicles Manufacturing company will do the same thing by withdrawing the scholarship from Mmesoma Ejikeme and awarding Miss Nkechinyere Umeh the N3 million scholarship.
“Mmesoma’s claim is a lesson to the government, organizations, and individuals who want to give scholarships to verify the candidate’s results before awarding the scholarship. It is necessary to verify the candidate’s result. In the case of verifying the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has made its result easy to verify by using your phone to scan the QR code on the result paper and it will encapsulate the UTME result of the candidate on your phone.
