Gaza: Hamas Senior Commander, Ali Qadi killed – Israeli Defense

 

Israeli Defense Forces said an airstrike has killed a senior Hamas militant, Ali Qadi in the ongoing war bewteen Israel and Gaza.

Qadi, according to the IDF, led a unit of commando forces that killed in last week’s attack on Southern Israel.

However, IDF said the 37-year-old unit commander in the elite Hamas force was killed on Saturday.

 

In a statement on X, IDF said, “Aircraft killed Ali Qadi, a company commander of the Hamas ‘Nukhba’ (elite) commando force.”

Recall Israel and Hamas have been at intense war since last week.

Qadi was one of more than 1,000 Palestinian prisoners released by Israel in 2011 in exchange for a soldier, Gilad Shalit, captured by Hamas in 2006.

He was arrested by Israel in 2005 over the death of an Israeli broker for the Shin Bet internal security agency.
