The Imo State police command has begun manhunt of killers of the traditional ruler of Otulu community of Ezinihitte Mbaise council area of Imo state, His Highness Eze Joe – Benz Ochulor.
On Saturday, unidentified gunmen abducted the Monarch, His Highness, Eze Joe – Benz Ochulor from his palace on Saturday, and was found dead on Sunday morning.
Our correspondent gathered that the lifeless body of the late monarch Olu 1of Otulu Amumara was found on Saturday night by the road side at Mbutu community in Aboh Mbaise council area of the State.
Speaking to our correspondent on Sunday evening, the Imo State police spokesperson, Henry Okoye confirmed the incident.
Okoye noted that the Commissioner of police, CP Danjuma Aboki has swiftly deployed policemen to the area in order to arrest the perpetuators of this dastardly act.
The PRO vowed the killers will be made to face the full wrath of the law.
Recall that on Thursday, Chiedoziem Anyanwu, the ward chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in the Ife/ Akpodim/ chokoneze ward in the Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo state, was killed by suspected gunmen.
Our correspondent gathered that Anyanwu was shot dead on Thursday by gunmen operating on a motorcycle.
According to sources, on arrival at his house, his killers mentioned his name and requested to see him.
