Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka has expelled a female student, Goddy-Mbakwe Chimamaka Precious, following her assault on a lecturer from the Department of Theatre and Film Studies.

The memo stated:
“The Acting Vice-Chancellor has received the report from the Student Disciplinary Committee regarding your assault on a lecturer from the Department of Theatre and Film Studies, which has been deemed gross misconduct and a violation of the Students Disciplinary Regulations, particularly Regulation 4 (SDR).

“As a result, the Acting Vice-Chancellor, on behalf of the University Senate, has approved the Committee’s recommendation for your expulsion, and you are hereby expelled from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.

“This expulsion takes immediate effect.

“You are required to vacate the University premises forthwith and return any University property in your possession.”
