COVID-19: Aisha Buhari bars access to President Buhari as Kyari goes into quarantine

Nigeria’s First Lady, Aisha Buhari, has blocked off all access to the President at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, following the President’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari’s reported COVID-19 infection.

President Buhari’s  COVID-19 test conducted by officials of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) returned negative on Monday.

According to a report by ThisDay, Mr Kyari could have been infected with the virus when he visited Germany on Saturday, March 7, to meet with officials of Siemens in Munich on the Nigerian electricity expansion program.

Consequently, the First Lady declared a stay-at-home policy for the President.

“The First Lady is not allowing anybody to see the President. She has even refused to allow him go to his office”, a source at the Presidential Villa told Daily Nigerian.
