An Imo state university female student simply identified as Divine was on Sunday night shot dead by men of the Nigerian army along Okigwe road, Imo
Crimefacts.news gathered Divine was on an outing around Okigwe roundabout.
According to source, Divine died before getting to the hospital.
The source also said that the incident involved two boys and two girls which include the girl (Divine) and a who went unconscious after the attack by solders on Sunday night.
Divine until her death was a 100 level student in the department of Soil science, IMSU.
When Crimefacts.news contracted Imo state university public relations officer, Dr Ralf Njoku confirmed the incident. He said the incident happened around 9pm on Sunday night around Okigwe roundabout.
According to Imo varsity PRO, “we have met with Imo state university chief security officer, we will also be meeting with the Vice Chancellor to know the next line of action.
Meanwhile Imo varsity authorities said the institution will hold a peaceful procession in honour of the deceased on Tuesday morning .
