Last Sunday, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC declared Stainless Chijioke Nwodo, the candidate of the Labour Party as the winner of the National Assembly election for Igboetiti/Uzo-Uwani Federal Constituency.
Hon. Nwodo, 44-year-old native of Idoha in Igbo-Etiti local government area of Enugu State defeated the incumbent, Martins Oke of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
According to the results released by the commission, Hon. Nwodo Stainless polled 14,089 votes while his closest rival, Rt. Hon. Okey of the PDP garnered 12,633 votes.
Sam Ekwueme of the APC got 10,016 votes; Okolo Obidike, 3214 botes; Ezea Paulinus of APGA, 411 votes; Ojobo Ebuka of APP, 41 votes; James C Okoro of NNPP, 173 votes, Aka N of SDP, 36 votes; Ugbo N. (ZLP) – 68 votes.
Speaking on the outcome of the election, Hon Kevin Okenwa, the Media Aide to Stainless said “his victory is a victory for all.”
Okenwa expressed confidence that Hon. Stainless Nwodo will deliver on the mandate because he’s “a highly disciplined, self-motivated, adaptable, recollected and dedicated to duty man”
Hon. Stainless Nwodo is a graduate of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology, ESUT, where he studied Political Science.
He has over two decade career which cuts across Education, Training and Management. As a director of a renowned private school in Enugu, he enrolled many indigent pupil on scholarship. His magnanimity has no equal.
Hon. Stainless Chijioke Nwodo was born to the humble family of Chief Christopher Odoagu of Idoha in Igbo-Etiti LGA of Enugu state in the year 1978. He finished his primary and secondary education in the year 1992 and 1998 respectively. He graduated from Esut (Political Science) in the year 2011. As a young and vibrant Nigerian, he traveled to Germany in the year 2002 in search of greener pasture.
