Actress Funke Akindele, hubby to be arraigned in Magistrate court today

Movie actress, Funke Akindele Bello who was arrested Sunday for flouting the social restriction order of Lagos state will be arraigned this morning, Monday, 6th April, 2020.

The  actress would be docked alongside her husband, JJC Skillz at the Chief Magistrate Court 1, Ogba for violating preventive measures against the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

The couple will be at risk of going to jail for one month with an option of being fined N100,000 each. There is also the possiblity of being sentenced to three months of community service.

Akindele ran foul of the authorities in Lagos when she defied the threat of the rampaging coronavirus to host a party in her home in Lagos.

A statement by the spokesman of the Lagos state Police Command, DSP Bala Elkana confirmed the arrest of Akindele on Sunday.

The Lagos Police Command said its attention was drawn to the ‘recklessness’ by a viral video showing a large number of persons mainly from the entertainment industry  in an Estate, along Ajah, Ibeju-Lekki axis, Lagos celebrating a birthday party organised by Funke Akindele Bello and her husband.

The statement  further read:”Police detectives from the State CID Yaba were promptly drafted to the location and Funke Akindele was arrested.

Naira Marley who was also named as part of the party, was also being expected to report at the State CID Yaba on today, Monday 6th April, 2020 or ‘risk being declared wanted’.
