Boko Haram Kidnaps Four Women In Adamawa

Residence of Madagali local government area in Adamawa State have called for improved security following the recent kidnap of three girls by Boko Haram.

Madagali is one of seven local government areas captured by Boko Haram in 2014 before liberation by Nigerian soldiers in 2015.

Community members disclosed that three young girls and a married woman were working on their guinea corn farms last week on the outskirts of Dar village when a group of armed men kidnapped them.

The insurgents later released the married woman on the ground that ‘she was too old for them.’

” Our girls are still there since their abduction last week, we call on government and the military to do whatever is possible to rescue them and take the fight to these people”, a resident stated.

A resident, Iskarju Ezekiel appealed to the military authorities for a sustained operation to flush out Boko Haram members from their hideout around Madagali and in neighbouring Borno communities

“It has been happening on smaller scale because there are remnants of Boko Haram in the surrounding bushes. We have been living in fear since the latest abduction on Monday” , he stated.

Military authorities at the 23 Armoured Brigade in Yola could not be reached for comment as at the time of filing this report.
