India’s anti-narcotics wing of Central Crime Branch (CCB) has arrested two Nigerians, Thomas Navid Chime and Ngwu Kingsley Chukwuemeka, in Hebbagodi, Bengaluru, for drug peddling.
According to a report monitored on timesofindia.indiatimes.com, the duo purchased MDMA crystals and ecstasy pills at low prices from peddlers in Delhi and sold them in Bengaluru.
Thomas, a software engineer, was initially arrested in 2002 under the NDPS Act, while Ngwu, a dental student. who has been in India since 2019 on a student visa, was arrested for alleged involvement in cyber fraud and has two cybercrime cases registered against him in Gujarat.

Recall Nigeria’s drug lords in India were linked to the recent arrest of Indian actor Vishal Brahma by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) at Chennai over drug trafficking.
According to a report by India Today, Vishal Brahma was intercepted by authorities while returning to Chennai from Singapore on flight AI 347. He was found in possession of contraband and is believed to have been recruited by a Nigerian drug syndicate.
The report indicates that the 32-year-old Brahma, reportedly in need of money, was allegedly lured into travelling to Cambodia for a holiday. Upon his return, he was instructed to carry a trolley bag containing drugs.
Authorities are currently investigating the Nigerian gang involved in this operation.
The investigation into Vishal Brahma’s alleged involvement is expected to broaden as authorities work to apprehend the Nigerian gang behind the drug operation.
