Ebonyi Governor Sacks Education Supervisors

The Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, has directed the immediate sack of all zonal education supervisors serving in the state’s secondary and primary schools.

The governor also directed authorities concerned to reshuffle serving headmasters and principals of both junior and senior secondary schools.

Umahi also directed that all the education secretaries on leave are to face probes so as to ascertain the level of their involvement in the alleged fraud in the system.

Daily Trust learnt that Governor Umahi took these decisions at the end of an emergency meeting held at the Presidential Lodge, New Government House, Abakaliki with stakeholders in the education sector on Wednesday.

But the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Kenneth Ugballa, in a statement, directed all concerned to strictly comply.
