Enugu State’s PDP sweeps Council elections

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) won all chairmanship positions in Enugu State’s council elections held on Saturday.

Prof. Christian Ngwu, Chairman of the Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC), declared the results, praising the commission’s conduct of a free and fair election.

PDP chairman-elects celebrated their victory, with Hon. Aka Eze Aka (Udenu Local Government) promising a “massive agricultural revolution” and improved infrastructure.

Greg Anyaegbudike (Oji River Local Government) vowed to prioritize youth empowerment through job creation and skills acquisition programs.

Notably, opposition candidates were absent from the ENSIEC declaration, sparking speculation about the election’s outcome.

The wins align with Governor Peter Mbah’s agenda, bolstering democracy in Enugu State.”
