EXPOSED: In Ogbaru, APGA buys votes with wrappers, others in place of cash

The ruling All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA in Anambra State has replaced cash with wrappers and other items in order to buy votes during the ongoing State House of Assembly elections held on Saturday.

It was learnt from a voter that due to cash scarcity, the party shared wrappers, phones etc to buy votes.

“In Ogbaru Local Government Area, Anambra State, this system is dominant in almost all the pulling units there”.

Our reporter gathered that each voter received six yards of wrapper.

It has been observed that this method was employed during Presidental elections on February 25.
