Introduction
After President Donald Trump of the United States threatened military action in Nigeria over the alleged killing of Christians by radical Islamic terrorists in November 2025, the former Niger Delta militant leader, Asari Dokubo, warned the US president.
Dokubo, in a video, then warned Trump against carrying out his threat of military incursion into Nigeria.
He warned that Nigeria would be the graveyard of Trump and any US military if they dared to attack the country.
In the viral video, the former leader of the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force, NDPVF, said US soldiers will be killed if they invade Nigeria in line with Trump’s threat.
Dokubo is also a traditional ruler, the Amanyanabo of Torusarama Piri, in the Degema Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Claim
Fast forward to March this year, some Nigerians claimed that an Israeli security intelligence agency, Mossad has been monitoring Dokubo over his alleged terrorism activities.
Mossad, the Institute for Intelligence and Special Operations, is Israel’s national intelligence agency.
Many Nigerians on Facebook and the X platform shared a screenshot of a Facebook page, “Israel Mossad”, where the post about Dokubo being a terrorist was made.
Attaching a video of Dokubo warning Trump and the US military, the post on the Facebook page, “Israel Mossad”, reads, “We got a threat from a radical Islamic terrorist in Nigeria.”
Some Nigerians claimed this page is the original Facebook page of Mossad.
The claim followed a continued tension in the Middle East after the US-Israel and Iran exchange of missile strikes escalated since 28 February.

Verification
First, FACTWATCH NIGERIA, checked on the Google-recognised website of the Mossad and found its verified Facebook page with over 200k followers.
On the Facebook page, the profile name and posts were written in Hebrew, Israel’s official language.
This is saying that the other Facebook page, “Israel Mossad”, that made the post about Dokubo being a terrorist, is a parody account and not related to the original activities of Mossad.
This page has fewer followers than over 100k people compared to the original page.
The parody Facebook page is not verified.
There is no reputable international media organization that has corroborated or reported that this claim has elements of truth.
Verdict
The claim that Mossad is now monitoring Asari Dokubo because he is perceived to be an Islamic terrorist, is FALSE, according to findings.
