A Facebook user, Obey Godwin Boss last week claimed that football legends and some world leaders contributed to the funeral of Samuel Eto’o’s late father.
Samuel Eto’o is a notable Camerounian football legend who played for Barcelona, Chelsea and other big clubs for decades.
The Facebook post by Obey Godwin reads,

Verifying this claim, when CrimeFacts news searched on Google using the keyword, “Donations by football legends and some world leaders for Samuel Eto’o’s late father funeral“, no credible news organization in Cameron, Africa reported such.
In a report by Purse Nigeria on April 12 2024, Samuel Eto’o laid to rest the mortal remains of David Eto’o, his father.
According to Kick442, the FECAFOOT President and Cameroon football icon solemnly laid his father the Military Hospital mortuary in Bonanjo, Douala, ahead of his final journey.
Conclusion
This claim is False as no reports any reputable news organization reported the donations by football legends and some world leaders for Samuel Eto’o’s late father funeral.
