Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri, Imo State has prohibited students of the institution from using their vehicles on campus.
In a memo issued by B.O Dara, the Registrar, the school said the decision was reached after emergency management meeting of Polytechnic held on Thursday, 27th January, 2022 on the “use of vehicles by the students and their flamboyant display of wealth on campus.”
The school said only staff are henceforth, allowed to drive their vehicles into the campus after identifying themselves with the entrance of the school while students using cars most stop at the gate.
