Gunmen kidnap five persons in Kwara community

Gunmen have kidnapped five persons at the Odo Eku camp in the Odo-Eku community in the Isin local government area of Kwara state.

Tribune Online gathered that the incident happened on Wednesday at about 1:15 am when the hoodlums stormed the community firing gunshots.

It was also gathered that the five abducted persons, identified as two males and three females, had been moved to an unknown location by the gunmen.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the state command, Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, who confirmed the development on behalf of the state commissioner of Police, Victor Olaiya, said that “immediate deployment has long taken place; the Police, alongside the vigilante, are on a rescue mission.

“The Kwara Police Command is aware of a kidnap incident that occurred at about 0115hours of 15/01/25 at the Odu-Eku Camp in Odueku Community of the Isin LGA of Kwara State; where 5 persons were kidnapped. Two males and three females have been moved to an unknown location.

“Immediate deployment has long taken place; the Police, alongside the Vigilante, are on a rescue mission. Further updates will be communicated as it unfolds.”
