HURIDE/CD hands over N125,000 to husband of late Mrs Epe

 

Human Right Liberty Access and Peace Defenders’Foundation HURIDE/ Campaign for Democracy have handed over the sum of one hundred and twenty five thousand naira (N125,000), to the husband of the woman who was killed by the son of their landlord in Nkpor recently.

Handing over the cash to Mr. Epe at Human Rights National headquarters in Fegge Onitsha South Local Government Area of Anambra State, the Executive Director of HURIDE, Dede Uzor A Uzor said the token was their contribution from some stakeholders to help them find alternative accomodation.

He called relevant agencies to ensure that justice is not done only done in this matter but must be seen to have done by ensuring that the perpetrator is prosecuted so that the law will take its full course.

Mrs Uzoamaka Epe who hails from Ngodo Isuochi in Abia State but married to Mr. Epe from Enugu -Ukwu in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State was killed by the son of their landlord in Nkpor recently.

Dede Uzor was accompanied at the occasion by the Vice-Chairman of HURIDE/CD in the South East Comrade Udemadu Chika Udemadu and other national officers of the HURIDE/CD.
