A Mother and her nine-day-old baby have been killed in a building collapse in Ayedun street around hospital/Egbe road in Akure, the Ondo state capital.
TheCable understands that the incident happened in the early hours of Wednesday after an overhead water tank fell on the building housing the victims.
The grandmother and elder brother of the baby sustained injuries in the incident.
Security personnel have evacuated the bodies of the victims while the injured persons are receiving treatment at an unknown hospital.
