Amnesty International has reported that 42,010 people have been killed in Gaza by Israeli forces, including 13,319 children and approximately 140 journalists.

The figures were disclosed by Isa Sunsui, Amnesty International’s Country Director, during the relaunch of a report titled, ‘You Feel Like You Are Subhuman’. The report highlights the devastating impact of Israel’s ongoing military actions in Gaza.

Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, Auwal Rafsanjani, used the occasion to call on governments worldwide to condemn what he described as genocide against the Palestinian people.

“The international community cannot continue to stand by while innocent lives are being lost on such a massive scale. Governments must take a stand against these atrocities,” Rafsanjani stated.

The relaunch event aimed to draw attention to the dire humanitarian crisis in Gaza and renew calls for accountability and justice for victims. Amnesty International reiterated its commitment to advocating for the protection of civilians and holding perpetrators accountable for violations of international law.

The report underscores testimonies from survivors and witnesses, shedding light on the severe destruction and suffering experienced by the people of Gaza.
