Police arrest man who killed friend over N500 in Kano.

The police in Kano have arrested one
Haruna Ya’u , who allegedly killed his
friend , Musa Muhammad , during an
argument over N 500 .

The state Public Relations Officer , DSP
Abdullahi Haruna , confirmed the arrest of
the suspect in a telephone interview with
our correspondent in Kano on Thursday.

“ Yes , the suspect has been apprehended,”
Haruna said .

Muhammad , 18 , was allegedly stabbed to
death with scissors by Ya ’u during a
dispute at Dantsinke in the Tarauni Local
Government of Kano State .

The incident happened when another
friend of the deceased , Aminu Torres , 23 ,
allegedly asked Muhammad to buy some
hard drugs with N 500 , but the latter used
the money for other purposes .

This led to a dispute and in the process ,
22 – year – old Ya ’u allegedly stabbed the
victim in the neck , leading to his death.
