Private Health Worker Killed In Ondo

 

Gunmen suspected to be bandits have shot and killed a private health worker named Akinola Oyabiyi in Akure, Ondo State capital.

The 46-year-old father of four was said to have been killed around 8 pm on Tuesday in Oba-Ile, close to the Akure Airport while he was driving home.

According to a family source, he was shot before he could attempt to escape from his vehicle.

The residents of the area are apprehensive as this unfortunate incident is coming after four students of the Federal College of Agriculture were abducted in the axis a week ago.

The Public Relations Officer of Ondo State Police Command, Funmilayo Odunlami confirmed the incident to newsmen.

She disclosed that the police are already investigating the case and working towards apprehending the killers.
