RECRUITMENT: Imo police fixed Jan.8-29 for physical screening exercise

 

The Imo State Police Command on Sunday to informed the general public particularly the successful applicants of the 2022 recruitment of General Duty/ Specialist Police Constables who are indigenes of Imo State that the Physical and Credential screening exercise will commence from 8th to 29TH January 2024 at the Command’s Senior Police Officers Mess, Owerri.

This was contained in a statement the command’s spokesperson in Imo State, Henry Okoye on Sunday.

Okoye said successful applicants shortlisted for the Physical/Credential screening exercise are required to report at the said venue as specified in their screening invitation slip with the following documents:
1. Evidence of physical and mental fitness from a Government recognized Medical Hospital
2. Evidence of good character from each village/ district head of applicants.
3. Original and duplicates of Certificates of Origin duly signed by the Local Government Chairman or Secretary
4. Original and duplicates of National Identity Card or slip
5. Original and duplicates of O’ level result(s)
6. Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age
7. Printout of the Application Form
8. Duly Completed Guarantor’s Form
9. Invitation Slips

“The Commissioner of Police Imo State, *CP Aboki Danjuma*, advises successful applicants to be wary of fraudsters and unscrupulous individuals who may attempt to exploit the recruitment process for personal gain, noting that the screening exercise is free and will be based on merit performance. The CP warned that the Command will not hesitate to deal ruthlessly with criminally minded elements caught exploiting the process.

“The Commissioner of Police reaffirms the Command’s resolve to collaborate with the Adhoc-Screening Team and the State Government in ensuring that the screening exercise is transparent and devoid of any corrupt practice.
