Remaining abducted Kaduna Christians regain freedom

Worshippers abducted from three churches in Kurmin Wali community, in the Kajuru LGA of Kaduna state, have regained their freedom.

A source in the community told TheCable that the remaining abducted Christians have been released.

On January 18, gunmen attacked three churches in the community and whisked away about 167 worshippers.

The police initially denied the abduction but later admitted it.

On February 1, 80 of the worshippers were released.

The source added that the remaining released worshippers are now in the custody of the Kaduna state government, pending an official announcement.
