Suspected Rapist Plucks Out Victim’s Eyes In Ondo

A middle-aged man who allegedly raped an undisclosed young woman and plucked out her eyes in Akure, the Ondo state capital is now in police custody.

A mob beat the man to coma and attempted to set him on fire before policemen arrived the scene to rescue him.

The rapist who was beaten to coma by a mob narrowly escaped been set ablaze as he was rescued by policemen who arrived the scene.

The incident occurred at Oluwatuyi area of the sunshine state capital on Monday.

The identity of the suspect said to be northern could not also be ascertained

Witnesses said the suspect could not say his name or where he is from.

Both the victim and the rapist are currently at the police clinic in Akure.

Ondo Police spokesman, ASP Tee-Leo Ikoro, confirmed the incident but said the family of the victim was yet to be seen.

Ikoro said the case was already been investigated.
