333 ghost workers drawing salaries in Niger

Niger State Government has discovered 333 dead civil servants are still receiving salaries in the state, barely a week after it announced the dismissal of 80 civil servants

The civil servants, who have been confirmed dead, have been on the payroll of the state for the past two years.

Commissioner for Works Ibrahim Panti, Chairman of the Screening Committee made this known in an interview with newsmen in Minna.

He also said that N207 million was discovered to have been paid as salaries to these deceased workers during the period.
