Anambra police command dispels rumour alleging officer’s involvement in crime

The Anambra State Police Command has dispelled rumours that its officer is involved in aiding kidnapping and other violent crimes in the state.

A press statement by the Command’s spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga stated that the video carrying the report is not only false, mischievous, and malicious, but also a calculated attempt to tarnish the image of the Nigeria Police Force and demonize the said officer.

He added that for avoidance of doubt, the officer featured in the video is an Assistant Commissioner of Police who is not serving in the Anambra State Police Command but maintained that the officer remains one of the pride of the Force in character and crime-fighting.
