Congratulating Adeyemi amounts to congratulating an armed robber after a successful operation – Dino

Following the declaration of Chief Smart Adeyemi as the winner of the Kogi West senatorial election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Senator Dino Melaye who formally occupied the seat has declined to congratulate Adeyemi.

Monitoring the activities of key players in the Kogi West Senatorial election, crimefacts.news can report that Dino Melaye took to his twitter handle to vent his spleen.

In one of his Twits, he said, “Congratulating Smart Adeyemi would amount to congratulating an armed robber after a successful operation”.

The maverick politician has also declared his intention to challenge the declaration of Adeyemi as winner of the Kogi West Senatorial election.

Dino said: “I will challenge the temporal and evaporative victory of Adeyemi at the Tribunal. Victory attained by violence and fraud is tantamount to defeat, for it is momentary. It is not about Dino Melaye, it is about Nigeria and our electoral system. I stay the course, it’s not over yet.”

Dino who noted that five assassination attempts were made on his life said he was up against the combined forces of security agencies, INEC, Federal, State and LG powers.

“I was fought on land, in the air and spiritually. It was not about election but my life. God I thank you”, he twitted.

Dino however maintained that the reaction of men and women of goodwill all over Nigeria especially the people of Kogi West who truly voted for him, is a testimony that God is with him and his supporters.

“I won the election and Adeyemi remain my political wife. Thank you Nigerians. Victory is certain”, Dino said.

Meanwhile, crimefacts.news reports that while congratulating Adeyemi for his victory, APC Presidential campaign spokesman, Festus Keyamo said: “Those who can’t stomach defeat and prepare for another day and those who think today’s victory will last forever are our problem. Be ready to win some and lose some. Those defeated today may bounce back tomorrow and those victorious today may end up later in infamy. Only time will tell.”

Keyamo quickly added in another Twitter update: “God Almighty has just shown us that PMB became President in 2015 because He alone decreed it. Those who felt they made him President in 2015 and planned to ‘unmake’ him in 2019 have all lost power one by one yet PMB is still standing strong and will finish his second term by His Grace.”
