Pascal Ibe, a reporter and editor with CrimeFacts will spend three months at Dubawa to participate in Kwame Karikari Fact-checking Fellowship.
The Indigenous language Fact checking project is for three months and is a unique opportunity to contribute to the fight against misinformation and disinformation using the indigenous language in Anglophone West Africa.
In the fellowship, Pascal is expected to produce FactCheck in Igbo language for the next three months.
The programme will also provide Pascal with the opportunity to connect and collaborate with other passionate language fact-checkers from across Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia and The Gambia.
Most importantly, the chance to be part of a supportive community that will share best practices, offer peer feedback, and help him grow as a fact-checker.
