San Francisco bridge, used to depict Akwa Ibom seaport road in Nigeria 

Claim

A Facebook user, Dainty Joseph, shared an image showing a well-constructed bridge and vehicles in traffic jams and claimed it was the Akwa Ibom road seaport.

Verdict

This claim is MISLEADING. A simple Google Image Reverse Search showed that the image shared by the Facebook user is the.Oakland Bay bridge located in San Francisco, United States and not Akwa Ibom State in Nigeria.

A Facebook user, Dainty Joseph had posted a photo showing a well-constructed bridge and vehicles in traffic jams and claimed it was the Akwa Ibom seaport road 

The Facebook user shared the image with a caption that reads, “Ibom Deep Seaport Road, Akwa Ibom.”

The post generated over  1.1k views and many comments on Facebook.

Akwa Ibom is a State in Nigeria’s South-South region.

Verification

A simple Google Image Reverse Search showed that this is the Oakland Bay Bridge in San Francisco, United States.

The image was used in an article titled “Why traffic could be a nightmare in San Francisco on Thursday”, that was published by SFGATE on April 20, 2023.

The images and video of Akwa Ibom Seaport which is designed for very large vessels that can load over 13 thousand containers in one voyage, can be seen here and here.

Conclusion 

The photo shared by a Facebook user as Akwa Ibom Sea port road is MISLEADING as checks indicated that it’s a bridge in San Francisco, United States.
