Four dead, five injured in Ogun auto crashes


Four persons have lost their lives while
five others sustained injuries in two
separate road accidents in Ogun State on
Friday.

The Ogun State Sector Commander of the
Federal Road Safety Corps , Ahmed Umar ,
confirmed the accidents on Saturday.

Umar said the first accident claimed the
lives of a motorcyclist and his passenger
when a bus rammed into them, along the
Ore- Benin – Ijebu- Ode Expressway.

The state FRSC boss added that the
accident occurred when the driver of the
vehicle lost control due to a burst tire and
rammed into the motorcyclist while he
was reportedly driving against traffic.

The sector commander noted that those
who sustained injuries in the accident had
been taken to the Hope Hospital , J 4 , while
the dead had been deposited at the
mortuary .

On the second accident , Umar disclosed
that eight persons were involved in the
crash in the Alafia area at J 4 axis of the
expressway.

He said two persons died in the crash
while five others sustained injuries .
