Verification

When a keyword search on Google was conducted by this Fact Checker, results showed that this video first appeared online in June 2021.

Corroborating this further, Punch reported in 2021 that the police sergeant lamented the suffering of security agents deployed to fight insurgents in Yobe State, calling on the government to come to their rescue.

The sergeant, in a video posted on Twitter, claimed that there was an attack on his base in Gujba, Yobe State, on June 17, adding that several policemen were killed.

He noted that the Boko Haram members burnt the property of those who survived the attack, wondering why their sacrifice was not reciprocated by the government.

The cop was filmed by a colleague, while another officer tried to salvage the leftover of their burnt property.

It was gathered the Nigerian police authorities didn’t react to the video in 2021.

Many Facebook pages and blogs also posted this video in 2021 herehere, and here.

Conclusion

The X user recirculated the 2021 video showing policemen weeping over hardship as recent to mislead the public.
