Nigerian Foreign Affairs Ministry’s website restored after CrimeFacts report one month ago

The official website of the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been restored after CrimeFacts raised the alarm one month ago.

On the 21st of February, CrimeFacts news raised the alarm that the foreign affairs website was not accessible to visitors as a result of a lack of renewal of its license by the Nigerian government.

This happened amid the US deportation/immigration policy by the Trump administration at its peak.

Also, on 6th March, a recheck on the website indicated that it was still inaccessible and unsafe for users.

While trying to access it, this reporter got the response, “Your connection is not private. Attackers might be trying to steal your information from foreignaffairs.gov.ng (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards).”

However, this reporter tried again on Friday morning and can confirm that the website is up and working again.
